Jan. 1976 Opened Jakarta Korea School: 26 students, 3 grades and 3 classes
Mar. 1977 Teachers dispatched by Ministry of Education of Korea
Jan. 1978 New school building dedicated: adjacent to current Korean embassy building
Feb. 1980 4 students graduated for the first time
Sep. 1982 Expanded school building by 70
May 1987 Expanded school building by 280
May 1989 Organized board of directors for fostering foundation for Korea School
Mar. 1990 Licensed by the Indonesian government as a school foundation
Nov. 1990 Licensed by Indonesian Education Ministry as an international school for kindergarten, primary and middle high school courses.
Mar. 1993 Moved to the current new school building: changed name to Jakarta Korea International School.
Mar. 1994 First school entrance ceremony held for middle high school course for 78 students
Nov. 1995 New school building for middle high school course dedicated.
Feb. 1996 6th school master Seong Gi-won Sung dispatched by the Ministry of Education of Korea
Jan. 1999 School building #3 and auditorium dedicated
Feb. 1999 20th graduation ceremony held for 117 students (accumulated number of students graduated from the school reaches 905)
Feb. 1999 3rd graduation ceremony for middle high school course for 88 students (accumulated number of students graduated from the school reaches 231)
Jan. 2000 1st graduation ceremony for high school course held
