Characteristics of Products
 |
Despite it is made
of 100% recycled paper, its physical
characteristics such as strength,
opacity, and smoothness are superior
enough to provide a sufficient printing
quality and a low web break rate in
a rotary press machine. Therefore,
users give favorable evaluation on
our paper product. Especially, the
production of newsprint with the brightness
of 68 ISO and the opacity higher than
92 is an indication of our more than
16 years accumulated experience and
know-how on the DIP and paper making
processing technologies. |
| |
|
 |
In Asia (except Japan),
our mill produces a largest quantity
compared with those of other mills
except for the mills merged with European
and North American giant mill. |
| |
|
 |
The newsprint is put
on sale in the unit of roll. However,
it can be sold as a single sheet depending
on the characteristics of a printer. |
| |
|
 |
Besides the production factory,
we have logistics related functionality
such as trucks, depots, and container
manufacturing company to make the
on-time delivery possible.

Future Production Plan
| |
1. Coating Paper
The world newsprint market is expected
to have an imbalance between supply
and demand due to the oversupply
of newsprint and the increase in
electronic media for the ever-growing
online communication facilities.
To respond to this situation, we
have developed a coated paper from
a recycled paper, and this fact
may create a high value-added demand.
By properly and flexibly responding
to the changing needs of our customers,
we are going to level up our division
to the world competitive advanced
paper production business division
based on our coating technologies
and the various products.
Production
Plan : LWC(Light Weight Coated)
60g/ ,
Annually 120,000 tons (2004)
2. APMP Pulp Mill
Currently, the waste paper is imported
from the advanced countries like
U.S.A., Europe, and Australia, but
those countries are faced with both
an environment protection campaign
and a pressure from a resource recycling
campaign and so, they keep increasing
their use of waste paper in producing
the newsprint.
In an anticipation of the future
difficulty of importation of waste
paper, we will establish our own
pulp factory (APMP:Alkaline Peroxide
Mechanical Pulp). For this purpose,
we acquired an area of 100,000 ha
for afforestation in the central
Kalimantan and planted trees in
6000ha from 1998 through 2000. For
7 years afterward, we will plant
annually 5,000 ha worth of Acacia Mangium
family's Eucalyptus, a fast growing
tree, so that after 7 years, we
can start felling them.
