Plywood

1. Preliminary Cutting
According to the day's schedule, the appropriate
material woods are selected. Then, they
are cut by a chain saw to the specification
for the production of plywood.
2. Peeling
The preliminarily cut material woods are
peeled off and the foreign materials are
removed.
3. Precision Cutting
4. Drying
The cut veneers are dehydrated. Because
the moisture content, dehydration speed,
and contraction rate are all different
from tree to tree, the dehydration process
is performed individually for each type
of wood to enhance the quality of product.
5. Combination and Sorting
The veneers to put on sale are sorted,
combined, and repaired, according to the
class and quality, to be ready for the
bonding work.
6. Bonding
The appropriate bonding agent is sprayed
to the pieces of veneers to have them
stuck together.
7. Cold Pressing
The half-completed product with a bonding
agent sprayed on it undergoes a cold pressing
process to get the enhanced adhesion and
make the next hot pressing process easier.
8. Hot Pressing
The cold pressed half-completed product
undergoes a hot pressing process with
appropriate temperature, time, and pressure
to create a completed piece of plywood.
9. Tailoring and Smoothening
The plywood is cut to the specified width
and length. The surface is smoothened.
10. Inspection
The products are packed according to the
buyer's requirements and the marking is
done on the packing.
11. Packing
The products are packed according to the
buyer's requirements and the marking is
done on the packing.

Material Wood
1. Planning and Inspection of Forest
| |
The aerial and ground survey are
performed to collect information on
the forest tree distribution, terrain,
and so forth to facilitate the development
of forest and prevent the forest from
turning to the wilderness. |
2. Opening of Forest Path
| |
The forest paths are developed to
transport the felled trees from the
felling site to the back camp. In
particular, the main path is paved
with gavels throughout the entire
region, and the drainage and bridge
are constructed accordingly. |
3. Felling of Timber
| |
In accordance with the kinds and
diameter authorized by the Indonesian
government, the trees are selected
for felling and cut down using a chainsaw. |
4. Collection of Timber
| |
The felled trees are dragged to
a specified area (a front staging
area) by a bulldozer to take a measurement
of them and transport them to the
front camp. |
5. Peeling Off
| |
To prevent the trees from being
rotten, the felled trees are peeled
off at the front staging area. |
6. Measured Cutting
| |
According to the dimension of the
plywood, the peeled-off trees are
cut into pieces to be loaded into
a logging truck. The sheet that describes
the type of tree and the log number
is attached. |
7. Loading of Timber and Transportation
| |
A wheel loader loads the measured
timbers onto a logging truck, which
moves them to a designated area, and
from there, a trailer is employed
to transport them to a log pond at
the back camp. |
8. Floating and Barge-carrying
| |
The trees that floats up in water
are dumped into a river and those
that does not float are loaded to
and carried by a barge and towed by
a tug boat to the plywood factory.
|
Characteristics of Production Process
| 1. |
Under the policy of 'top class
brand with highest quality',
this plywood production division
strictly adheres to the ISO-9002
quality management system. |
|
|
| 2. |
The special floor base of
"CROSS [SHORT GRANE PLYWOOD]"
is an expensive Japanese floor
base. The product provides a
best quality among other Indonesian
products and favored by Japanese
buyer. |
|
|
| 3.
|
All the machine installed
for each process are equipped
with a digital counter to facilitate
the measurement of hourly production
and the management of job, leading
to the increased productivity
and performance. The production
is scheduled such a way to meet
the characteristics of each
line and installation so that
the quality and delivery of
product can be accurately observed
as required by the buyer. |
|
|
| 4. |
With 10-feet rotary that we
have, we can produce an over-sized
product that can hardly be produced
by other factory. |
|
|
| 5. |
For quality management, we
have modern facilities and advanced
equipment such as automatic
water contents tester, thickness
and adhesion tester, and the
like. Also, our entire products,
including floor base plywood,
structural plywood, and ordinary
plywood are ISO and JAS certified,
and the quality and process
have been fully recognized by
our buyers. |
