In this context, the Trading Division was established with a view to lead the traditional trade realm as well as the development of new businesses based on the adaptability to ever changing international environment, flexible way of thinking and professional sales capability neccesary for being competitive enough in the world's huge market. Dealing mainly with industrial goods, but not consumer goods, we have been exerting its endless efforts to develop new markets and to launch new materials and equipment for export and import to serve both our Group and clients. Items currently handled for export are papers including newsprint papers, steel products, chemicals, furniture, agricultural products and stationeries and those for import range from steel products to materials for paper manufacturing and industrial machineries. We are not only planning for the horizontal and vertical alliances with the existing businesses that can produce an added synergy, but also seeking for new business opportunities as ever, and, if necessary, seeking joint venture projects with others as well.
