Welcome to our forest industry division !
We started in the wood business in Indonesia in the late
1970s, with the vision to be environmentally friendly.
Since then, we have successfully
established ourselves as a frontrunner in the Indonesian
wood industry with high quality products achieved
through our technology and human resource development
efforts. We have grown into a respectable company
while contributing to the advancement of Indonesian
economy and local communities, as well as maintaining
the good relationship with local surrounding communities.
Under an environmentally friendly management policy that
takes into consideration the characteristics and functions of
the tropical forest in order to meet the new environment
paradigm, we adopted a method of selective felling and
planting system that minimizes the
potential damage to the natural production forests.
In Kalimantan, we have implemented large scale timber estate
projects in unproductive forest area of approximately
110,000 ha (estimated net planting area is 75,000
ha) and in Asiki, Merauke District of Irian Jaya, we developing
oil palm plantation of 17,000 ha. In addition, we are also planning
to invest in a pulp and paper projects with raw material coming from
our own industrial timber plantation.
Equipped with the accumulated experience and know-how
of forest management, a sound philosphy on forest,
bio-engineering technique and the scientific management
model, we will develop forests and plantations that
can yield high profitability. We will maximize
our business potential by combining it with the processing industry
which uses leading-edge technology.
Furthermore, we will pursue an ecology-oriented management system
for sustainable forest management with a heavy emphasis on the social
and environmental functions of the forests.
